Our compagny

The company Les Ruchers du Gué (the apiaries from the Gué), is primarily a family business story. It is in the Charente Maritime region, France’s western coast that the beekeeping passion has been passed on from father to son for 4 generations.

Les Ruchers du Gué selects, combines and packages about sixty references of honey and products deriving from honey (honey and spices blends for cooking, gingerbreads, candies, jams…) mainly sold to supermarkets, groceries and wholesalers for caterers and bakeries.

In constant search for innovation, Jean-François Crétet has combined his knowledge as a former caterer to his passion for beekeeping to create “Miel des chefs” (Chefs’ honey), a range of honey and spices blends ready to cook.

This range of “Gourmet honeys” won the prestigious “Trends and Innovation award” at the SIAL Paris 2008 and 2010* and has since become the honey of reference in the French cuisine.

Awarded with the prestigious “Trends and innovation award” at the Paris International food fair SIAL in 2010, the Chefs’ Honey has become "the trend product" in the French cuisine.


Chefs’ honey is a range of “ready to cook” honey and spices blend, with selected and high quality products, suitable for any type of dish: red meats and grills, poultry and white meats; fish, salads, vegetables and stews; desserts and fruits.


"The Chef’s honey" brings flavours and originality to dishes while being easy to use.


In addition, Chefs’ honey is a 100% natural, healthy product which adds sweetness and consistency to baking thanks to its natural high level in fructose.


This product has been created from the idea of mixing flavours, with a sweet and sour twist.
